![]() ![]() ![]() For all these methods but the very first, the reduced pool is more than adequate. EZX-s are ‘out-of-the-box’ sound sets made by professionals and the 16/24 bit aspect is 100% irrelevant if you are content with the outboard processing that has been done (or at least like the ‘ballpark’ territory).Īs to the sample pool reduction it depends on how you program your drums, there is a ‘lazy’ way which consists of drawing notes all at the same velocity and another which is to either use the provided grooves (with ad-hoc edits), program carefully your parts, or play them in. The latency is in your computer more than inside a module but from td 4 to TD15 some ppl believe to get a snappier response but usually only talking about the Roland internal Sounds.EZX-s can most definitely be used in professional productions, and are on a common basis (particularly in music to film). But Dual Zone and 1-127 velocity is on all midi modules the rest is just shop talk imagination. If your talking Snare drum and have 3 zones not two then you got one more Zone you’ll hear that. Other then that you have single or dual zones only You’ll hear a difference on the modules sound sure, or Roland would be out of business but that won’t translate into SD2, promise.ġ27 Velocities is 127 velocities aint nothing can make a difference to them, the nuances come from the SD2 not Roland module. I wil check this out in the wintertime when I’m off season and have a lot of time testing all this. I was told that the lantency with this newer module is also lower. I haven’t connected my Superior to my TD-30 yet, but I guess that I will be suprised as well. I set up both of them the same way and felt the difference, even with my older Rolandpads (PD-105, PD-125). It has more nuances and higher resolution. I just updated from TD-20 to a TD-30 and the Triggerengine feels much more filigrane. I agree to juicy that the sound you hear will always be Superior, no matter which module you use.īut I don’t agree to his opinion that you don’t feel any difference between the modules. ![]()
